Kicking off the New Year!

This is one New Year's Resolution I failed to keep last year...Highlighting some #365Feministselfie pics. Maybe this year I'll work on a weekly highlight instead of every day? Seems more manageable right? So let's get to it:

"The selfie is an aesthetic with radical potential for bringing visibility to people and bodies that are othered." #365feministselfie is a challenge that aims to highlight the lack of representation in the media of people of colour, people with disabilities, queer people, trans* and gender nonconforming people, and other underprivileged or marginalised groups. it's also a really great excuse for me to take a picture of my face everyday, mainly because the world obviously needs to see more of it, but also as a cool way to track the transition changes. behold the first of 365 selfies, and all my new years eve sparkles!
